How this library is ordered

The Catholic library is not a neutral pile of texts. Revelation comes first, because the Church receives rather than invents the Word of God. Tradition and the Fathers show how that Word was preached, defended and prayed in the early Church. Councils and papal documents clarify doctrine when the faith is contested. Catechisms arrange the same faith for teaching. Canon law orders the visible society of the Church. Scholastic theology, especially Saint Thomas, gathers the whole into disciplined reasoning.

This order allows the reader to move from source to synthesis without confusing levels of authority. Scripture is inspired. Tradition is living apostolic transmission. The Magisterium judges authentically. Theology serves by explanation. History shows continuity, crisis and purification. Liturgy turns doctrine into worship.

Research discipline

Keep authority levels clear. Dogma, doctrine, discipline, theology and private opinion are not identical.
Read historically. Doctrinal clarity often grows through controversy, council and pastoral need.
