Read each act according to its author, form and object
A creed, canon, dogmatic constitution, disciplinary decree, encyclical and apostolic letter are not interchangeable merely because each appears in the documentary record of the Church.
Papal acts
Encyclicals, bulls, constitutions, letters, exhortations and motu proprio acts are catalogued under their proper juridical form.
Languages and editions
Latin is retained wherever present. Additional official or historical translations are attached as distinct source witnesses.
Source honesty
Local full text, external provenance, acts inventory and missing edition are stated explicitly rather than concealed by generated prose.
