Caprasius
Life and witness
At Agen, in France, of St. Caprasius, martyr, who to avoid the fury of persecution hiding himself in a cave, and hearing what St. Faith, virgin, endured for Christ, animated hereby to suffer torments, prayed unto God, that if he thought him worthy of the glory of martyrdom, a spring of water might flow out of a stone in the cave where he lay; which God granting, he went confidently to the place of combat, and under Maximian, emperor, behaving himself courageously, deserved the palm of martyrdom.
