Ceallach

Ceallach, successor of Patrick. There is a Ceallach, deacon, of Gleann-da-locha in Leinster (7th of October), and whichever of them is called Ceallach, son of Connmach, he is intended in this stanza, which is in the poem beginning ''Patrick of the fort of Macha loves,"’ which Cuimin of Coindeire composed, where we read, that he obtained it from God to be blind, deaf, and lame. Thus it says :
