Prochorus
Martyrological notice
At Antioch, of St. Prochorus, who was one of the seven first deacons, and renowned for faith and miracles, received the crown of martyrdom.

S. Prochorus was one of the first seven deacons, men- tioned in the Acts of the Apostles, with S. Stephen and S. Philip, and also with Nicolas, who is said to have originated the heresy of the Nicolaitans, condemned by S. John. S. Prochoras became bishop of Nicomedia, and died a martyr at Antioch.
