When it is said that authors differ as to the date of this saint so far that some place his death in the year 300, others in 390, others in 570, and others again, relying on an amusing story in his life, in 1 1 20, it will be seen that not only is no reliance to be placed in his history, but also that there is every probability that several bishops of Tarazona of the same name have been run into one, and which of these was the saint, it is impossible to decide.
