At Csesarea, in Palestine, the passion of St. Reparata, virgin and martyr, who, for refusing to sacrifice to idols, being put to divers torments under Decius the emperor, was finally beheaded whose soul was seen to go out of her; body, and ascend up to heaven in the form of a dove.
Biographical overview
Reparata (Italian: Santa Reparata, French: Sainte Réparate) was, according to tradition, a third-century virgin who was martyred for her Christian faith in her hometown of Caesarea, Roman Province of Palestine, and later canonised by the Catholic Church.
