Roman Martyrology (traditional English edition; normalized OCR transcription): At Rome, the birth-day of the holy apostles St. Peter and St. Paul, who in the same year and same day suffered martyrdom under Nero the emperor of whom St. Peter, crucified with his head; downward, in the same city, and buried in the Vatican, near to the triumphal street, u honoured of the whole world: but St. Faul, being beheaded, and buried in the high way of Ostia, is also visited with like honour.
