Alma Redemptoris Mater, quae pervia caeli porta manes, et stella maris, succurre cadenti surgere qui curat populo.
Tu quae genuisti, natura mirante, tuum sanctum Genitorem: Virgo prius ac posterius, Gabrielis ab ore sumens illud Ave, peccatorum miserere.
Loving Mother of the Redeemer, who remainest the open gate of heaven and star of the sea, help thy fallen people who strive to rise.
Thou who, to nature’s wonder, gavest birth to thy holy Creator, remaining a Virgin before and after, receiving that Ave from Gabriel’s lips, have mercy on sinners.
Erhabene Mutter des Erlösers, die du die offene Pforte des Himmels und der Stern des Meeres bleibst, hilf dem gefallenen Volke, das sich zu erheben sucht.
