Te lucis ante terminum, rerum Creator, poscimus, ut pro tua clementia sis praesul et custodia.
Procul recedant somnia et noctium phantasmata; hostemque nostrum comprime, ne polluantur corpora.
Praesta, Pater piissime, Patrique compar Unice, cum Spiritu Paraclito regnans per omne saeculum. Amen.
Before the ending of the day, Creator of the world, we pray that by Thy mercy Thou wouldst be our guardian and keeper.
Let dreams and phantoms of the night depart afar; restrain our enemy, lest our bodies be defiled.
Grant this, most loving Father, and Thou, only-begotten Son equal to the Father, reigning with the Holy Ghost through all ages. Amen.
