Primary Texts of False Religions, Heresies, Schisms and Sects
These texts are reproduced as documentary witnesses to claims examined by Catholic apologetics. Their inclusion does not recognise them as divinely inspired, sacred in the proper theological sense, or equal in authority to Sacred Scripture, apostolic Tradition or the teaching of the Church.
The order is documentary, not relativistic: Catholic Scripture and Tradition retain their proper place in the Catholic library. These writings are collected so that false religious, heretical, schismatic and sectarian claims can be examined from their own primary witnesses.
Read the source in its historical layer and exact edition.
Distinguish what the text says from what later institutions claim it says.
Test internal coherence and public historical evidence before invoking Catholic authority.
Then compare the claim with prior revelation, Christ and the apostolic Church.
What is never implied
Publication does not call these texts inspired, holy in the proper theological sense, or equal to the Old and New Testaments. The catalogue records documentary status and rights for every work.
