Offerimus Tibi hunc diem, cogitationes, verba, opera et passiones nostras.

Da nobis fidem vivam, spem firmam, caritatem perfectam et gratiam fugiendi omne peccatum.

Pater noster. Ave Maria. Credo. Gloria Patri.

Amen.

English

We adore Thee, most Holy Trinity, and thank Thee for all Thy benefits.

We offer Thee this day, our thoughts, words, works and sufferings.

Grant us living faith, firm hope, perfect charity and grace to flee every sin.

Our Father. Hail Mary. Creed. Glory Be.

Holy Mary, Saint Joseph, Guardian Angel and all the Saints, pray for us. Amen.

Deutsch

Amen.

Explanation and method

Order of the fuller form

Adoration and thanksgiving come first, followed by the offering of the day, the theological acts, petitions for the Church and household, and a definite resolution against the chief fault.

Connection with Prime

When possible, continue with Prime in the Roman Breviary so that private devotion is joined to the public prayer of the Church at the beginning of work.
